Character creaton guide
Especially for you who are new in the world of RPG there can be a ton of questions and considerations before your first character can be made. Hopefully, this guide can be of help to create a good, realistic character that'll you'll grow fond of.
Name
Your character's name needs to fit its nationality. It would not be fitting to have an English character named Børge since Ø is a letter only found in some nordic alphabets. A name like Anna can be used in several languages.

Age
The game takes place two years after the outbreak of SOS. Therefore, it's wise to consider how old your character was when the outbreak took place. A 20 year old would naturally know more about surviving than a 13 year old. A younger character can be fun to play but if your character was 10 years old at the outbreak, it might be worth considering how it survived.
Nationality
Nationality plays a smaller role. At the moment you can play on three different "boards" with "sub boards". It's up to you if you want to be in America, Asia, or Europe but you may only choose one continent per character. Your character from America cannot play in Europe as well.
Desired weapon
EVERYTHING can practically be a weapon! A table leg is effective to hit with, a knife can be thrown or used to stab the infected/hostile strays.
Consider your character's nationality when choosing a weapon. Americans love their guns but guns would be difficult to come by in Denmark.
Status
Is your character a member of a group or is it a stray? Strays are often alone or form smaller groups away from the larger ones who opperate in, especially, New York City.
If your character wants to be a part of the larger groups you can choose to write to the administration or sneak into a group. It's possible that two members from a group would meet your character and either introduce them to the group - or make your character make a run for it.
Other things worth considering:
Past life
Your character's past life. It doesn't have to be detailed and you don't even have to include it if your character doesn't wish to delve on the past. It would be interesting to know more about family relations, previous job, and anything you believe to have an impact on your character.
Merits and mistakes
To create a realistic character it can also be worth considering the mertis and mistakes of your character. Does it have a fiery temper? A problem with understanding another language? Maybe your character has a long and fine education that makes it leader material, a hunter, doctor, or anything else.
